Scratchy Scratcherson
Grant is a scratcher. He loves to scratch at everything. When I'm nursing him: scratch scratch scratch on my arm, scratch scratch scratch on his head, scratch scratch scratch on the pillow. In the car: scratch scratch scratch on the car seat. At therapy: scratch scratch scratch on the mat, scratch scratch scratch on the ball, scratch scratch scratch on the toys. In his crib: scratch scratch scratch on the sheet (This is often how we know he's awake- we hear the scratching get going). On our bed: scratch scratch scratch at the emroidered flowers on our quilt. In the exersaucer: scratch scratch scratch on the plastic. So we've nicknamed him Scratchy Scratcherson.
Dry Spell
I can't believe it's been 2 weeks since I last posted.... Not much has really been going on. Grant is sitting up pretty well, but he still isn't catching himself on the way down. He has a new face we call the cheeseball. He gives us this big closed mouth grin and squints his eyes shut. It's hilarious and I wish we could get a picture of it, but it's so quick and spontaneous we haven't been able to catch it. This past week he has become quite the talker. He gets going making all kinds of new noises and is getting louder each time I think. The sitter took Grant on an outing in the car for the first time too. It makes me nervous but I felt like I had to give in. We'll see how it goes.

The Week in Pictures

5 months
Grant is 5 months old today. You can see how much he's grown here. Doesn't he look like a big boy in his Star Wars tshirt and jean shorts? Grant tried oat cereal today. He seemed to like that a little better than the rice cereal. I bought some peas and sweet potatoes to try some time soon. He'll probably like those better than that nasty looking cereal. What a cute future Flyer!
How you doin?
