Go Flyers, Part 2

Last night Grant had his first non-family babysitter. Kelsey came over to watch Grant (Thanks Miss Kelsey!) while we went to watch Dayton play OSU in the NIT tournament. Grant was crying when we left, but when I called 15 minutes later he had stopped. Later Kelsey sent a picture to my cell and said he was sleeping. The first half of the game was good (and the crowd really interesting), but after halftime it was downhill for the Flyers. Better luck next year.

Smile!

We've been trying to capture Grant smiling but he's so quick. We finally got a couple, though it's much cuter in person.

Blogger help

Whenever I try to add pictures they always end up at the top of the post. Does anyone know an easy way to make them go where I want them?

Happy Easter

Grant had a busy Easter in Napoleon. First he celebrated at Grandma and Grandpa R's. Troy's cousins were there with their kids- 6 boys 3 or under and one 5 years old. It was chaos with all those boys excited to play together and loaded with sugar. The group shot was pretty funny and little baby Grant slept through it all.

Then we went to my grandparent's house and Grant met the rest of the family. He was pretty good despite being passed around from person to person for hours.

Grant is upset the candy in his Easter bag is already half gone.

A Few More

The Old Man

Grant is starting to lose his hair. He's lost almost all of it from the top but still has the long hair in the back. He looks like an old man with a receding hair line. A glimpse into his future maybe?

We're still here...

Last week was a crazy week. Troy's car kept dying so we went to the dealer 3 afternoons. They still have his car. They can't figure out what is causing the problem. They say they've never seen anything like it and even have a call in to Toyota for some help. So maybe one of these days we'll get it back. What else... I got another infection. Both sets of grandparents came over the weekend. On Saturday my parents came and Troy and I went on our first outing alone. We lived it up I tell you- lunch at Bob Evan's and a trip to Target to pick up my prescription. We had planned a more exciting time but the extreme lack of sleep from the night before and my not feeling so great put an end to that. Then Troy's parents came Sunday and brought us lunch. For the past two nights we've been in bed before 10 and I got a nap yesterday and this morning so I'm starting to feel sane again. Hopefully that will help me feel like posting a little more often.

Sitter Secured

Well, I think we have a sitter. I found her on craigslist and we interviewed her yesterday. She is in her late 30's and has an education degree. She has tons of experience and seems to have her act together. She's only taking 3 or 4 other kids and almost all of them are part time so there won't be too many kids there. We felt really comfortable with her and I think she'll do a good job. And the nice thing is she lives super close. Hopefully nothing changes between now and May...

Spring!

Yesterday it was so nice out! Of course we never put the stroller together so I couldn't take Grant for a walk in the 70 degree weather, but I did walk outside with him and saw that my tulips and daffodils are starting to come up. We took a field trip to weigh Grant and he weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces with his clothes on. He's getting to be a big boy! Troy put the stroller together when he got home but by then it was starting to look like it might rain so we didn't head out. Next nice day we'll be ready.
