- Over the weekend we left our hose out in the driveway. The next day Grant saw it and using all his might pulled it to the front of the house. We couldn't figure out what he was trying to do until he took the nozzle and touched it to each plant. He was "watering!"
- Grant has stopped licking my elbow when I change him, but he thinks it's really funny when I put my elbow close to his face and say elbow in a sing song voice. He then says elbow over and over.
- Grant has a little toy mower, but he's not quite big/strong enough to push it very well, which makes him really mad. This weekend we sat in the yard and watched him try. He got so mad he stopped and SCREAMED and then looked at us. When we didn't react he started hitting his mower and the stopped to look at us. Ah, a preview of the 2's....
- Pretty much every morning we listen to the Wiggleworms cd while getting ready. Grant is too cute. One morning I watched from the hall as he did almost all the actions for "If You're Happy and You Know It." When "Itsy Bitsy Spider" comes on he gets all excited and waves his fingers around trying to make the spider climb. The funniest one is the "Old Joe" (might not be right title) song. I can only remember doing this song with him once or twice, but he does the motions. The horse walks, gallops, and moseys- and Grant dances at the right pace. And when the "whoa" parts come on Grant leans all the way forward.
- When we get ready to give Grant a bath he likes to help. He tries to touch the water, tries to climb in, etc. But he always runs into his room to get a clean diaper. The funny thing is we have never brought a clean diaper into the bathroom as part of the routine. We always take him to his room and change him there. But for some reason he has it in his head that when it's bath time, he needs to bring us a diaper. Or doodoo as he calls it.
